Dining in St. Lucia offers vacationers spice, relaxation, and eclectic local cuisine

Liming in St. Lucia

Although many Saint Lucia chefs use spices and creole dishes, fried fish "island", hotels, restaurants and unpretentious beach bars ensure that the total rent is different, international and attractive.

There are many all-inclusive hotels in Saint Lucia that serve international cuisine. Vacationers who travel far from the hotel will be generously rewarded with simple bistros, vendors and mom-and-pop shops that add to the local scenery. Visit the fish restaurant on the island of Gros, Anse La ray or Dennery and try barbecue, tatiri (small fish, deep-fried and eaten whole) and grilled tuna steak. Whether you're looking for motivation and dance (Gro Island) or something more tame (Anse La Ray, Dennery), fried fish is an economical way to experience the local cuisine and culture. The bill at Anse la Ray will be about $5 per person and includes drinks.

To try something different, try one of the plantation-style restaurants on the island. Like many Caribbean islands, fast food is also an inexpensive option and includes a burger, barbecue and pizza.

Travelers who have spent the day hiking or snorkeling may want to relax in one of the inexpensive restaurants that mainly focus on tourist areas. These establishments offer a wide range of dishes, from Asian, Indian and Mexican local Creoles and Indians to American novelties. Many of them also have open spaces with views of the seashore or mountain sunsets. A meal at one of these restaurants will cost between $12 and $20 (USD) without drinks or tips.

Those looking for the beauty of fine cuisine should pay attention to Soufriere, Rodney Bay and the area east of Castries. Many of the island's restaurants also serve haute cuisine. Expect the account to be upscale as well, starting at about $20 (USD) and sometimes over $30 (USD).

Passengers meet the can requirements to prepare meals according to their taste and budget in Saint Lucia. Regardless of whether an evening meal brings relaxation or excitement, many locals view a night meal as more and more time to "notify" or pass the time.
